During the evening, I searched through Grab for nearby dine-out deals and found that Taiwan Tea House (台湾茶屋) in Kuchai Lama was offering a 20% discount.
Since I’m staying nearby, I decided to drive there and arrived in about 10 minutes.
When I got there, I noticed the place was quite small, with only three tables available. It seemed like most of their business came from takeaway and delivery orders, as there were many GrabFood drivers waiting outside.
I ordered their signature salted crispy chicken rice with an herbal tea set from the menu.
The food arrived within 15 minutes.
The braised pork sauce poured over the rice tasted nice, and the salted chicken had a flavor similar to what I’ve had at Pasar Malam, though the portion was slightly bigger. I finished the rice but still had some salted chicken left.
The total bill came to RM16.90.
However, with the Grab dine-out deal, I only paid RM13.52.
Overall, the dining experience was okay, and the pricing is quite moderate.
