Sushiro Crab Fest (5/3 – 27/3/2025) @ KLCC

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of dining at Sushiro KLCC, a well-known sushi chain that has been making waves in Malaysia. There were three of us, and we were eager to try their Crab Fest, a limited-time event running from March 5 to March 27, 2025. As seafood lovers, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to indulge in their special crab-focused menu.

Sushiro introduced several crab dishes for this event, including:
Sweet Chili Soft Shell Crab RM15.80
Kani Mazesoba RM20
Red Snow Crab Stick (Blue Plate) Rm7.80
Boiled Snow Crab Stick (Red Plate) RM5.80
Premium Boiled Snow Crab (Black Plate) RM15.80
Alongside these, we also ordered a few other sushi selections to round out our meal

Taste & Quality
Sweet Chili Soft Shell Crab
This dish turned out to be one of our favorites. The flavors were well-balanced, with just the right combination of saltiness, sweetness, and spice. The crispy texture of the soft-shell crab paired well with the sweet chili seasoning, making it an enjoyable bite. It had a nice crunch while still maintaining the delicate taste of crab meat inside.

Kani Mazesoba
The Kani Mazesoba, a noodle dish infused with crab flavor, was quite good. The broth had a strong and distinct crab taste, which we appreciated. However, we felt that the portion of crab meat could have been more generous, as it leaned a bit too much on the noodles rather than the seafood. That said, the overall flavor profile was rich and comforting.

Red Snow Crab Stick, Boiled Snow Crab Stick & Premium Boiled Snow Crab
What truly impressed us was the quality of the crab meat in these dishes. Unlike many other sushi chains that use imitation crab sticks, Sushiro serves real, fresh crab meat, and it makes a world of difference. The texture was soft yet firm, with the natural sweetness of fresh crab shining through. The Premium Boiled Snow Crab, in particular, was incredibly fresh and flavorful, making it a standout dish of the night.

This is something we rarely see in other sushi chains in Malaysia, and considering the quality and authenticity of the crab meat, the price was well worth it. If you’re a crab lover, these are a must-try during the Crab Fest.

Other Sushi Selections
In addition to the crab dishes, we ordered a few other sushi options from the regular menu. As expected, the quality was quite premium, yet the prices remained reasonable. Sushiro continues to maintain its reputation for offering good sushi at accessible prices, making it a great spot for casual yet high-quality dining.

Service & Atmosphere
Despite being a popular chain, the waiting time was not too long, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff followed strict SOPs, ensuring a smooth and organized dining experience. The restaurant itself had a clean and welcoming ambiance, making it comfortable to enjoy our meal.

Final Thoughts
Overall, our visit to Sushiro KLCC for the Crab Fest was a great experience. The Premium Boiled Snow Crab wwas the highlight of the night, offering fresh and flavorful bites. While the Kani Mazesoba could use a bit more crab meat, its taste was still enjoyable.

The fact that Sushiro serves real crab meat instead of imitation sets them apart from other sushi chains in Malaysia, making their Crab Fest truly worth trying. Combined with reasonable pricing, efficient service, and a well-maintained dining environment, it’s a spot we’d definitely return to.

If you’re a seafood lover, don’t miss out on this limited-time event!
