During the afternoon, I browsed through the Funhub app again to check for any good deals since some meals start as low as RM5. That’s when I spotted a RM5 chicken rice promo set at KL Zai Restaurant (KL仔烧腊店) near the SS2 area. From Old Klang Road, it took me about 18 minutes of driving to get there. When I arrived, the place wasn’t too crowded and the environment felt quite okay.
I showed the waiter my Funhub app, and she shared a code for me to key in so I could redeem the chicken rice set.
The food came in around 10 minutes. The chicken was decent, paired with soup and their chili sauce.
After finishing, the waiter even asked if I wanted dessert, which was free. The options were sesame, peanut, or red bean soup with dried tangerine peel. I went for the red bean soup with dried tangerine peel, which had an earthy, nutty, and mildly sweet taste with a refreshing tangerine peel aroma.
The original price for this set is RM10.50, but with Funhub, I only paid RM5.
Honestly, it’s worth it since you don’t often find chicken rice with soup and dessert for RM5 in Kuala Lumpur. I’d definitely come back again if the promo is still available.
