During morning, I had an appointment with a friend who inquired about my social media services. We planned to meet at Starbucks Coffee in Sunsuria Forum, Setia Alam. As I was heading to Starbucks, I remembered a promo I had written about in the past: RM10 off any Grande-sized handcrafted Starbucks beverage on Thursdays if you wear green. So, I made sure to wear a green shirt before driving to the Starbucks Sunsuria Forum branch.
When I arrived, I ordered my favorite chocolate chip drink, and coincidentally, she arrived just as I was ordering. I told her about the promo, and she ordered a Cocoa Cappuccino since I had the deal. Besides, you also need to show the QR code from Starbucks’ social media to be eligible for this promo.
One thing I noticed is that the Starbucks Sunsuria Forum branch allows two drinks at RM10 each, whereas the Starbucks Pearl Point branch only allows one promo drink per person. This makes the Sunsuria Forum branch a much better choice in my opinion. My chocolate chip arrived within 10 minutes of waiting, and it tasted nice as usual.
Interestingly, I realized that she and I had met almost 10 years ago, and it made me reflect on how small the world can feel. She’s now starting her own Key Opinion Leader (KOL) agency, while I’ve recently launched my own digital marketing agency. It was a great sharing session, and I think there’s potential for us to collaborate and support each other in the future.
The actual bill was around RM38, but thanks to the RM10 promo, I only needed to pay RM20 total for the two drinks.
