During the afternoon, I decided to redeem my RM30 birthday promo voucher at OMI with no minimum spend. There are two branches available for redemption, Pavilion Damansara Heights and TRX Exchange. I chose the OMI Pavilion Damansara Heights outlet since it is quite near to where I stay. Upon arrival, the restaurant offers a clean and cosy Japanese cafe atmosphere with warm glowing lamps, soft beige interiors, booth seating and a neat open kitchen as shown below.
The great thing about this birthday promo is there is no limitation on what you can order from the menu. You can even choose items from the lunch special menu or the daily set meal.
I ordered the lunch special menu with Truffle Chahan, Barramundi fish as my protein, Singapore chili crab sauce and a cold genmaicha tea, and I also added salted fries. The waiting time was about 15 minutes and the food was served.
The truffle fried rice tasted not bad and I liked their chili crab sauce a lot as it tasted really good. As for the fries, they were also not bad but I was quite stuffed since I ate everything by myself. Perhaps I will try the burnt cheesecake next time when I dine in since it looks delicious too.
The final bill was RM29.80 but I paid nothing since it was covered by the RM30 birthday promo with no minimum spend.
It feels quite special especially for single people celebrating their birthday month alone.
