During the afternoon, I decided to have lunch at Zen & Co Happy Garden Japanese Fusion Cafe. The location is quite close to where I live, and I remembered that last year, I wasn’t eligible for their free birthday meal because I hadn’t registered. According to their website FAQ, you need to make at least one transaction in the current year to qualify for a free meal during your birthday month.
Anyway, they were running a set lunch promo that came with three free side dishes and an option to upgrade your drink from the menu.
I went with the tempura fillet and chose honey lemon for my drink. The food arrived within 15 minutes, which was pretty quick.
The tempura fillet tasted just fine, and the drink was okay, along with the side dishes.
The actual bill came to RM23.10 after tax.
However, with Grab Dine-Out 15% off, I only needed to pay RM19.63, as shown below.
This post is mainly just preparation for my year-end birthday. It’s like paying it forward since, when I redeem the free meal later, it’ll feel like I only paid RM9.81!
