During the evening, I dropped by Hot Bird Subang Jaya to redeem their birthday promo, mainly because Hot Bird is one of my favourite fried chicken spots. I have been eating this for years, so even though the birthday promo is not very big, I still felt it was worth checking out since it is something I genuinely like.

For my visit, I ordered the 2 pcs Fried Chicken Combo which comes with signature coleslaw, cajun fries, and a drink. The chicken was crispy and juicy as usual, and the mild heat level was easy to enjoy.
This is still one of those comfort meals I keep going back to whenever I crave fried chicken.
In terms of pricing, the original price for the combo was RM24.90. With the 15% birthday discount, RM3.74 was deducted. After SST and rounding, the final amount I paid was RM22.45.
Honestly, the discount is quite small, but I see it as better than nothing, especially since it is a brand I already like.
One nice surprise was that I also received a free scoop of Bulla ice cream after leaving a Google review. It was a simple vanilla scoop, but still a nice little bonus to end the meal.
Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the experience. The birthday promo itself is not very generous compared to some other places, but if Hot Bird is already one of your favourites, this is still a good excuse to visit during your birthday month. Do take note that the pricing does feel a bit on the higher side, but the taste and familiarity make up for it for me.
