During the morning, I stumble upon a nice surprise at Hock Kee Kopitiam in Bangsar South. I went for breakfast and found out they have a Birthday Reward where members can redeem free 2 Signature SunShine Egg Tarts. The best part is there is no minimum spend and it is valid at all outlets. After signing up, the Birthday Reward appeared instantly in the voucher list. There is also a Welcome Reward where you can get RM5 off for dine in. I redeemed both during my visit. It took me 10 minutes to drive from Old Klang Road to the outlet.
Upon arrival, I asked the waiter how to redeem the 2 free tarts and I just showed my phone with the Birthday Reward notification. She helped me redeem it from the counter instantly with only 2 minutes of waiting time.
The egg tarts tasted flaky and soft with a nice custard texture.
Then I ordered the Honey BBQ Chicken Wonton Noodles from the menu and chose the red sauce.
There were a lot of people and the waiting time was around 15 minutes. The food came with a bowl of wonton soup and the portion was quite filling.
For the noodles, I think I would still prefer the black sauce as the red sauce tasted a little sour to me.
The RM5 Welcome Reward helped reduce the bill and I only paid RM12.65 after service charge and SST.
