In the afternoon, I had an appointment with the Cari Makan (揾到食) boss at 2 PM. However, I got caught up with work and almost forgot the time, only leaving around 1:20 PM without eating. Initially, I planned to have lunch at 嘆kopi茶铺 to redeem the free set of Chili Chee Cheong Fun, but when I passed by, it was packed with people, and time was running out.
So, I decided to drive to a location closer to the Cari Makan shop and came across Ho Jiak Mixed Rice in Sri Petaling. You can enter the shop from either the front or the back entrance.
There were plenty of mixed rice options, and I ended up picking all the dishes I was craving, like I was eating at a buffet, without checking the prices.
The final cost was RM12 for the mixed rice shown below, which included a free drink and soup.
The mixed rice tasted pretty good. I think it would have been much cheaper under RM10 if I had taken just two dishes. Anyway, I finished the meal just in time to meet the Cari Makan boss.
It was an insightful sharing session on his end, and I’m hopeful he will accept my collaboration proposal. As a gesture for our first meeting, I also gifted him a welcome present I bought from Yu Ai’s CNY promo.
