It was a chill afternoon and since it’s the weekend again, I started browsing for food promos nearby. Grab was running its weekend discount promo with deals going up to 40 percent off. That’s when I spotted a 35% off dine out deal for MyBurgerLab at OUG.
It’s just an 8-minute drive from my place, so I decided to head over for lunch.
Upon arriving, I asked the staff if the weekend discount applied to all items, just to be sure there weren’t any tricky terms and conditions. Surprisingly, they said the 35% percent deal applies to the entire menu.
So I went for the Aburi Lunch Deal set, which costs RM20, and added RM5 for a side of fries.
I picked the Makcik Can burger set, which comes with fried chicken thigh, shredded lettuce, tangy mayo and spiced lime sauce, all wrapped in their signature charcoal bun. For drinks, I chose the Honey Calamansi.
Waiting time was about 13 minutes. Right before serving, the staff came to torch the cheese on the burger using a fire torch. You can see that in the photo below.
It definitely added to the experience. Taste-wise, the burger was solid. The crispy chicken matched well with the zesty lime mayo and soft charcoal bun. It’s a combo that really works.
The total bill came up to RM25.
But with Grab’s 35 percent dine out promo for this branch and the extra 30 percent weekend discount stack, I only paid RM11.37.
Honestly, it was super worth it for a weekend lunch. If you skip the side, the RM20 lunch set can go as low as RM9.10 after all the weekend discount promos are applied.
Also noticed they’re running Google Ads with nearby location targeting when I searched “burger around me“.
