Around midnight, I suddenly felt hungry again and stumbled upon Grab’s Huatever CNY Deals for GrabPay users. This promotion lets you enjoy up to 15% + 30% off your total bill when dining out at selected restaurants. I decided to try out Bing Shifu Mini Bowl (冰师傅小碗菜) in Kuchai Lama to take advantage of this deal.
When I arrived at around 1 AM, I noticed that there wasn’t much food left, and the options were limited.
Nonetheless, I chose three dishes: Sichuan-style twice-cooked pork, Mapo tofu, and tomato scrambled eggs.
All the dishes tasted great, especially since I was starving! The Mapo tofu’s spiciness was just right for me, considering I’m not a fan of overly spicy food. However, I felt the MSG might have been a bit strong, as my throat felt dry, and I kept needing to drink water.
The final bill came to RM16.23 after a 15% discount, reduced from the original price of RM19.10.
6th July Update: Stacking Discounts for Better Value!
Sometimes when an outlet offers a 35% Grab off total bill promo combined with an additional 30% weekend deals discount, the savings can be really impressive. For example, the actual bill shown below was RM20.15.
But after stacking both discounts, I only paid RM9.17!
That’s less than half the price and a fantastic deal for a proper meal.
Keep an eye out for these promo combos on Grab, especially during weekends. It’s a great way to enjoy your favourite food while saving big.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m planning to try out other shops to make use of the CNYWEEKEND promo code, as higher-priced items will offer better value. This code offers an additional 30% off (capped at RM20) on Saturdays and Sundays, valid until February 12th.
