In the evening, I decided to take advantage of Grab’s Huatever CNY dine-out deals, which are still valid from today until February 12, 2025, with a limit of eight redemptions per user. I chose Le Shrimp Noodle Bar at Pavilion Damansara Heights since they’re offering a 25% off discount.
I also noticed that the Pavilion Damansara Heights app was showing free parking for yesterday and today, which was a nice bonus since the mall is only a 16-minute drive from my location.
Upon arrival, I realized that Le Shrimp Noodle Bar is Malaysia’s first Japanese shrimp broth ramen restaurant.
I ordered their Big Prawn Shrimp Ramen, priced at RM34.90, from the menu.
The wait was 15 minutes, and when I took my first sip of the soup, I could immediately taste the deep, rich prawn flavor. They claim the broth is made by roasting prawns to fully extract their essence, then simmering it for over eight hours with a whole old chicken and various Asian spices.
The prawns were incredibly fresh, reminding me of the Chinese drunken prawn dish often served at wedding dinners.
One thing they could improve is providing free plastic gloves for customers when peeling the prawns. It would make the experience much more convenient and less messy! I ended up drinking every last drop of the soup—just look at my empty bowl!
The original bill came to RM40.50 after tax.
However, thanks to Grab’s CNY Huatever dine-out deal, I only paid RM21.26 after stacking the 25% + 30% discount.
After that, I grabbed a Juice Works drink since I hadn’t ordered anything to drink at the restaurant.
