During the afternoon, I drove to Sunway Velocity Mall, and it took me around 17 minutes from Old Klang Road.
After finishing my interview at Starbucks, I was feeling a bit hungry and decided to browse the Grab app to check for any nearby promos. Since it was the weekend, Grab’s Dineout Discount Deals were still running. That’s when I saw Dave’s Deli Sunway Velocity offering a 25 percent dineout deal.
It’s been a while since I last had their roast chicken, so I decided to go for it at their outlet on the 3rd floor of Sunway Velocity Mall. Below is the menu from the restaurant.
I ordered their signature Roast Chicken with a side of mashed potato and plain water. The waiting time was around 15 minutes, which was quite reasonable. The roast chicken tasted similar to Kenny Rogers’ chicken. It was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned with nicely roasted skin. The mashed potato was smooth and creamy, and their classic brown sauce pulled everything together nicely.
The total bill came to RM26.75.
With Grab’s 25% off total bill promo for this branch and the additional 30% weekend deals discount, I only paid RM14.04.
All in all, this was a great deal for a complete hot meal at a shopping mall. If you’re already at Sunway Velocity, it’s worth checking out. Just open the Grab app and see if the promo is still available.
