During the evening, I continued to take advantage of Grab’s 30% off CNY deals promo while dining out. I noticed that many dine-out deals now offer only 15% off, unlike the 20% or 25% off discounts I mentioned in my previous Grab CNY deals post. Still, GrabFood’s irresistible 30% off CNY promo makes it the perfect time to indulge without breaking the bank. Anyway, I spotted Uncle Jang Dakgalbi Korean Restaurant as part of the CNY promo, but it’s only valid at their Solaris Mont Kiara outlet. Did you know that Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant opened its first branch in Malaysia way back in 2007 in Ampang? Since then, it’s become a go-to spot for dakgalbi lovers, thanks to its authentic flavors and generous portions. So, I decided to drive there, and it took me about 20 minutes to reach the place. Upon arrival, I realized the restaurant is located on the 3rd floor, and you’ll need to take the lift to get there.
I ordered their signature original Uncle Jang’s dakgalbi, which comes with chicken and cabbage.
The dish arrived within 15 minutes, and the taste was just as good as I remembered from my college days.
It brought back a wave of nostalgia, thinking about those memories from almost 10 years ago. The meal also included refillable seaweed soup and side dishes, which were a nice touch.
The actual bill came up to RM23.10 after tax.
However, with Grab’s 15% Dine Out + 30% CNY Deal discount, I only had to pay RM13.74.
Overall, it was definitely worth the trip, and I’d love to come back again, especially if there are more promos in the future. As I’m currently on my startup journey, you’ll notice that most of my food reviews focus on meals under RM20 whenever possible.
