During the afternoon, my sibling suggested celebrating Father’s Day at Pan & Wine, Setia Alam. When we arrived, I noticed that this place accepts Cari Makan vouchers, so I quickly headed back to the car to grab mine.
Fun fact: this restaurant was actually opened by one of my secondary school friends. I’ve heard good things about it before, especially their western food. The place had a cozy and relaxing vibe, perfect for a casual celebration.
Most of their western dishes are priced around RM20+, and they even had a Father’s Day special menu.
We ordered their Belly Bomb Slice from the special menu, along with a spread of other dishes like pizza, mushroom soup, pesto pasta, carbonara, risotto, and more. Everything arrived within about 25 minutes, which was pretty efficient considering the crowd.
I went with their Porkie Burger. The taste was not bad, though I personally think it would’ve been even better if it came with thick-cut fries instead.
My sister also commented that their western food was really good overall.
One small but meaningful touch was that they offered free ice cream, and beside the counter, there was a donation box for Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Sai Pandian. It’s a nice “give back” gesture, and my brother chipped in RM10 to support the cause.
To end the meal, we brought our own cake to celebrate Father’s Day together. The staff were kind enough to help us serve it, and there were no additional charges for bringing it in or using their plates and utensils. It was a simple but warm way to wrap up the lunch. Everyone had a slice, and it made the whole celebration feel more complete.
The final bill came to RM330.40, and I used the Cari Makan voucher to knock off RM10.
If you’re planning to visit, it’s a good spot to consider especially for two-person meals, as that’s where the voucher gives the most value. The chef here has been in the F&B scene since 2017, so they’ve definitely built up some solid experience.
