This morning, after working throughout the midnight, I was starving. So, I browsed through the Eatigo app and discovered a 50% off breakfast buffet promotion, bringing the price down to just RM36 at Substance, Courtyard by Marriott KL South.
On top of that, new users could redeem an extra RM10 cash voucher with the promo code 1BOOK. Without hesitation, I made a booking through the app and received my confirmation instantly.
It was just a short 6-minute drive from my location, and I suddenly got that “The early bird catches the worm” (早起的鸟儿有虫吃) feeling, as this promo was only available for the 7 AM slot.
Upon arrival, the ground floor was beautifully decorated with Chinese New Year ornaments, setting a festive mood.
I took the lift to Level 3 and arrived at Substance, the hotel’s dining space.
The continental breakfast spread featured a variety of dishes, including nasi lemak, noodles, pastries, baked goods, fruits, toast, tea, coffee, and more, as shown below.
I managed to devour three plates and left feeling absolutely stuffed!
However, I didn’t get to try their pastries as I simply couldn’t eat any more.
There were a few dishes I’d definitely go for again on my next visit, like the cocktail sausages, chicken siew mai, and sambal prawns, which ran out quickly.
One thing I think they could improve on is adding smoked salmon to the cheese section to make this breakfast buffet look more premium. The actual price for the buffet is RM72 per person, but after applying all the promotions, I only paid RM25.40 after tax, as shown below.
Overall, it was a great experience and absolutely worth the money. Even my previous Grab Huatever 30% off promo couldn’t beat this deal!
After all, a night at Courtyard Kuala Lumpur South by Marriott Bonvoy costs around RM348, which includes a free breakfast buffet.
But instead of staying there, I can just enjoy the same breakfast at Substance Courtyard anytime, which just a 5-minute drive from home while still getting 50% off through Eatigo.
The only catch? I just have to wake up early! 😆 Not to forget, the Bloomsvale Shopping Gallery parking fee for this visit was only RM1, as I spent just an hour eating and drove back home within 7 minutes.
