After collecting the Bak Kwa from my friend’s Wing Heong BBQ Meat SS2 shop, I took a walk around SS2 to decide where to eat. Along the way, I noticed a Musang King durian promotion offering 2-3 pieces for RM100, but I decided to skip it this time.
Eventually, I headed to Medan Selera SS2 for lunch.
After browsing a few hawker stalls, I suddenly craved roasted duck rice and decided to order from the De Champion Duck stall.
The food prices here start as low as RM8 for chicken rice, and I went for the roasted duck rice, which was RM11.
The charcoal roasted duck rice was decent but nothing exceptional. However, the soup deserves a special mention—it had a “dang gui” (Chinese angelica) flavor that I enjoyed so much, I even refilled my bowl.
Overall, I would rate this stall 7.3 out of 10 stars.
Before heading home, I passed by a “Yao Cha Guai” (oil-fried dough) stall and couldn’t resist trying their prawn crackers, priced at just RM1.50 each. I ended up buying two pieces.
The total expense for this trip was RM17.50, which included RM11 for the duck rice, RM3.50 for a sugarcane drink, and RM3 for the prawn crackers.
Indeed, I’ll definitely return to this hawker center—it offers a great variety of food options!
