During the midnight, I felt hungry and did a quick Google search for Chinese restaurants still open near me. I found Restaurant 1991 in Pudu, which is famous for its curry noodles. I enjoyed the midnight drive, and it took me about 18 minutes to reach there.
Upon arrival, I ordered their signature curry mee and some dim sum from their menu.
All the food arrived within 15 minutes.
The curry mee tasted a bit salty for my liking, but the chicken was nice. As for the “Siu Mai” dim sum, it was surprisingly delicious with its chewy, juicy texture. It tasted even better when dipped into the curry noodle soup.
I would rate the experience 8 out of 10 stars. The final bill came to RM25, including Chinese tea as my drink.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back again to try their other dim sum dishes. It’s also a perfect place for late-night supper in KL!
