This year, I ordered the Soy Sauce Chicken Combo, which comes with chicken, rice, soup, and sauces. Simple, classic, and very filling.
The chicken was well coated with soy sauce and still tender, but it is worth noting that the chicken is served cold. Personally, I am fine with it, but this might not be for everyone, especially if you prefer your chicken rice to be served hot. The rice itself was fragrant and fluffy, and it paired nicely with the chili sauce and ginger paste.
I also liked the environment at this outlet. The seating area was clean and spacious, and you could see the roasted chickens hanging behind the glass, which always builds up appetite before the food arrives.
Now comes the part that makes this birthday promo worth considering. According to the receipt, the Soy Sauce Chicken Combo costs RM11.62. With the 50% birthday discount, it was reduced to RM5.81. After adding service charge and SST, the final amount came to RM6.45, which is what I paid in the end. For a full chicken rice set at this price, it still feels quite worth it for a birthday meal.
