We are always looking for a good Tong Shui Shop around KL .
We chance upon a dessert shop in Kuchai Lama that is hidden in Kuchai Avenue Shops.
Parking is quite hard to find here, as most of the parkings are already reserved, do note that YI dessert Kuchai Lama also reserves their own parking spots for their customers, it is located opposite their shop.
We always passed YI dessert Kuchai lama, whenever we are nearby, however we have not tried it due to the amount of customers as the shop is always packed and there are no plaace, so after our dinner one day, we decided to pay Yi Dessert Kuchai Lama a visit to see if we do not need to queue and wait and can get a table immediately, fortunately, we are able to do so, such a happy day for us.
As we have already had a dinner, we decided to order 2 dessert on our first try here.
We ordered yam snow ice and also mango rice ball. Our first impression when we see the dessert wasn’t that impressive, we thought it is like other Bingsu that you can get outside, however I can confirm that they used a lot of Yam in this dessert, this dessert keeps giving us surprises, 1st the Ice cream that was placed on top is quite tasty, not too sweet but very smooth and light it matches with the Dessert, they give you extra milk and also a side of Yam cream? not sure if this is what you called it , so that you can top up the flavour, they do not skim on the ingredients here, there are a lot of ingredients inside the yam snow ice, like taro balls, red beans etc.. as for the mango rice ball, it is quite impressive as well, the taste is good, the mango is fresh, comes with taro balls and sago. the total bill for this visit came up to around Rm37 Plus for these 2 dessert.
After some time, we decided to pay Yi Dessert Kuchai Lama another visit, as from our previous visit, we saw someone order their steamboat like dessert, it cost around RM30++ which can be shared for 2-3 pax, however if you are taking this after dinner I recommend you share this with 3-4 pax, as it is quite big with a lot of ingredients, the plating of this is quite impressive, it really looks like you are having steamboat, however it is cold ! as usual Yi Dessert does not skim on the ingredients and continue to deliver impressive dessert.
