Hunger struck suddenly after I finished work at midnight. I searched for food stalls still open for supper and stumbled upon this 1AM Nasi Lemak stall in Jinjang, KL. Checking Waze, I saw it was only about an 18 minutes drive from Old Klang Road to Jinjang Kepong.
I love driving late at night because there aren’t many cars on the road. When I arrived, I realized the stall was right across from the 3AM Chicken Rice I shared before.
The only difference? The chicken rice opens at 3AM, while this nasi lemak starts at 1AM.
My favorite was the clam, but unfortunately, the person in front of me took the last portion. By the time it was my turn, the wild boar curry nasi lemak was also sold out, so I just ordered a curry chicken nasi lemak and a small pack of fried bihun. There was no place to sit, but luckily, I always carry a table tray that fits on my car’s steering wheel.
The curry nasi lemak was just okay, and so was the fried bihun. However, the sambal was too spicy for my taste.
The real draw here is their late-night opening hours and some of the cheapest supper prices in KL. The total came to RM8.80, where RM2.50 for the bihun with curry sauce and RM6.30 for the chicken curry nasi lemak with added ham.
If you’re on a budget while hustling through your entrepreneur journey, this hawker stall is definitely worth a visit for an affordable meal. It’s also one of the best places for takeaway supper in KL.
